Marcus R. Braaten, O.D.

Dr. Braaten completed his undergraduate studies in 2001, receiving his B.S. in Psychology from South Dakota State University. After a year of graduate study, investigating the antibacterial properties of plants, Marcus applied to Indiana University School of Optometry. After clinical rotations in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Louisville (Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers), and Quantico, Virginia, Marcus received his Doctor of Optometry degree in May of 2006.
On November 2, 2006 Marcus and Shannen Braaten opened Braaten Family Eye Care. At Braaten Family Eye Care, our mission is to provide the highest quality individualized eye care by LISTENING to our patient's concerns, INFORMING our patients about their options, and CARING enough to earn our patient's trust.
Dr. Braaten's hobbies include running and playing chess.

Shannen Braaten

As the Office Manager, Shannen oversees all business activities such as scheduling, purchasing, orders and billing. Her career history includes over seven years as a pharmacy technician as well as experience in banking and child care.

Although Shannen’s responsibilities keep her extremely busy, she always takes the time to put patients first. Whether it is sharing her knowledge about frames and lenses or assisting with insurance coverage, Shannen will give you her undivided attention and the benefit of her expertise.
